Overview
Arts Technology Administration
The Arts Technology concentration allows students to engage in their digital media passion, inviting them to build basic skills in design, photography, videography, audio recording, or coding for interactive media, while also learning the theory and history of digital media and design. Students will have opportunities to gain hands-on experience in arts management as account managers, marketing directors, and entrepreneurs in the arts technology student run media firm, Millikin Creates, or one of the other student-run business ventures in the arts such Pipe Dreams Studio Theatre, MARS (Millikin Audio Recording Services), WJMU Productions (audio communication) Arts Cafe (live event performances), 1901 Productions (film studio), and MUPC (web/software consulting).
Be prepared to lead in marketing firms, film studios, innovation firms, and design boutiques, by managing clients and personnel, agency promotion and more as you dive into the world of creative agencies! See the list of the core classes in Arts Administration.
