DECATUR, Ill. – Several programs in Millikin University’s Tabor School of Business were recently reaffirmed by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) Baccalaureate/Graduate Degree Board of Commissioners, including the MBA, Accounting, Finance, Digital Marketing, International Business, Management and Management Information Systems programs. This reaffirmation extends for the next 10 years.
“Earning reaffirmation of our accreditation from ACBSP is an important recognition of the quality and rigor of the programs offered through the Tabor School of Business,” said RJ Podeschi ’02, MBA ’04, Dean of the Tabor School of Business. “This distinction reflects the dedication of our faculty, staff, and students to maintaining the highest standards in business education while continually improving the ways we prepare graduates for today’s evolving business landscape.”
Millikin University was first accredited by ACBSP in 2005 and has maintained accreditation through the regular reaffirmation process every ten years. ACBSP accreditation certifies that the teaching and learning processes within the business programs offered through the Tabor School of Business meet the rigorous standards established by ACBSP.
The Tabor School of Business integrates a competency-based curriculum with Millikin University’s signature Performance Learning approach, allowing students to engage in hands-on, real-world projects from the beginning of their studies. This approach ensures that students gain not only knowledge but also practical experience and professional skills that are highly valued by employers.
Through this reaffirmation, Millikin University continues to demonstrate its leadership in business education and its commitment to continuous improvement, preparing students for success in an increasingly complex and global business environment.
“Students in the Tabor School of Business benefit from a learning environment that emphasizes both theory and application, which is essential for success in modern business careers,” Podeschi said. “ACBSP accreditation is not just a recognition of where we are today, but a framework that encourages us to continually assess and strengthen our programs.”
