  • Make it Millikin

Noah Jahangir went through his first two years of college unsatisfied with the atmosphere that he was in. Coming to Millikin gave him an opportunity to find his niche in athletic training where he's gaining the skills he needs to accomplish his dream of working with athletes.

Program Highlights

The mission of the Millikin Athletic Training Program in the School of Exercise Science & Sport is to provide quality education for students wishing to become certified athletic trainers. Through a combination of both didactic and practical learning experiences, the program helps students acquire the knowledge and skills necessary for success on the Board of Certification (BOC) examination and for success in the field of Athletic Training and related allied health fields.

Under the guidance and supervision of a team of certified athletic trainers, you will build and enhance your knowledge and skills regarding the prevention, evaluation, management, and rehabilitation of injuries that occur within the active and general populations.

The new 3+2 master’s level athletic training program will be launched in the fall of 2024.  Students entering the program prior to the fall of 2024 will complete the first three years of the Exercise Science major and will begin the master’s portion of the program in their fourth year at Millikin.
