Master of Business Administration 

Whatever your business ambitions, you need to understand the fundamentals of leadership and financial strategy; the role of markets, policy and legislation; and how to forge a dynamic organization in an increasingly connected world. Millikin University’s MBA Program offers a competitive advantage in today’s business economy, where competition is fierce and performance is crucial. Our three concentrations offer the opportunity to bring your goals into specific focus as you develop skills through innovation, collaboration and Performance Learning.

Evening MBA

The Evening MBA Program offers two concentrations: management and health care administration. Students in the Evening MBA Program typically have several years of business experience and varying educational backgrounds. They work in all types of small and corporate businesses in such fields as accounting, health care, engineering, information systems, human resources, manufacturing and entrepreneurship. This results in cohorts with a wide range of talents and business knowledge.

  • Average class size is 16-20 students
  • Average work experience: 10 years
  • ACBSP Accredited
  • A $6,000 scholarship is awarded to Millikin alumni
  • International immersion experience 

Daytime MBA

Our Daytime MBA program provides a unique experience tailored to the diverse needs of today's ambitious business professionals. The accelerated format gets you on the job market faster! Students in the Daytime MBA Program typically are recent college graduates or younger professionals.

  • Classes begin in August
  • 12-month program
  • 40 credits
  • Average class size is 15-20 students
  • ACBSP Accredited
  • A $6,000 scholarship is awarded to Millikin alumni
  • Graduate assistantships available

Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)

The Doctor of Nursing Practice: Family Nurse Practitioner DNP (FNP) is a clinical doctorate. This program prepares BSN or MSN nurses to move to the highest level of clinical expertise and advanced practice nursing. Students will complete up to 1,200 hours of clinical practicums with preceptors in Decatur and surrounding areas. 

BSN to DNP

  • 69 credits and 1,200+ hours of clinical practice
  • Full-time and part-time options available
  • Classes are delivered in a variety of methods, including face-to-face, hybrid and online

MSN to DNP

  • 50-54 credits and 800+ hours of clinical practice
  • Full-time and part-time options available
  • Preference given to individuals with at least one year of full-time registered professional nursing experience
  • Classes are delivered in a variety of methods, including face-to-face, hybrid and online

Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)

In partnership with Decatur Memorial Hospital, the Doctor of Nursing Practice: Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist DNP is a clinical doctorate and prepares BSN nurses to move to the highest level of clinical expertise and advanced nursing practice. 

  • 88 credit, 36 month, full-time course of study
  • Small cohorts and engagement with upperclass students and anesthesia experts provide a foundation of support in this rigorous program
  • Multiple regional clinical affiliates ensure excellent anesthesia practice experiences to meet or exceed national requirements

DNP Completion for MSN Prepared Advanced Practice Nurses

The Doctor of Nursing Practice: Degree Completion is a clinical doctorate program specifically designed for currently licensed advanced practice nurses who are certified registered nurse anesthetists, certified nurse midwives, nurse practitioners or clinical nurse specialists who want to increase their knowledge and skills to the highest level of clinical nursing practice. 

  • Program delivered online
  • Part-time or full-time curriculum

Master’s Entry into Nursing Practice 

Designed for individuals with non-nursing bachelor’s degrees, the Master’s Entry into Nursing Practice (MENP) is an accelerated, full-time program of study that will facilitate a smooth transition into the field of professional nursing. Graduates earn a master’s degree in nursing and will be eligible to take the National Council Licensure Exam and apply for licensure to become a registered nurse.

Master of Arts in Teaching 

Designed for individuals seeking to obtain an initial Illinois teaching license through the completion of graduate study, this degree program is open to all career-seeking professionals who have completed their undergraduate studies in academic areas other than education.
