Master of Business Administration: 3 Concentrations, 1 MBA

Executive Management MBA

Students in the Executive Management MBA typically have several years of business experience and varying educational backgrounds. They work in all types of small and corporate businesses in such fields as accounting, health care, engineering, information systems, human resources, manufacturing, and entrepreneurship. Student cohorts include a wide-range of talents and business knowledge.

Executive Healthcare Administration MBA

Millikin University’s Executive Healthcare Administration MBA is geared toward those within the healthcare industry who are looking to grow into positions of leadership. Doctors, nurses, clinicians, community health managers, health insurance managers and others will gain valuable business insight as they increase their career options, engage global communities, and enhance the overall performance of their organization.

Fast-Track MBA

Fast-Track MBA offers a cohort experience with a carefully planned schedule. Students arrive in August and take six classes in the fall and spring semesters and two classes in the summer to complete the degree. If a graduate certificate is pursued, an additional two-three classes may be required, but these courses can be taken during the one-year duration of the program.  To hit 40 credits, and graduate, you have to take a certificate and the one offered right now is Project Management.

  • Rigorous program of study featuring mainly day and some evening classes
  • Accelerated format gets you on the job market faster
  • 40 credits
  • Average class size is 10-15 – I would say 15-20 (this year we have 21)

  • A $6,000 scholarship is awarded to any Millikin alumni

Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)

The Doctor of Nursing Practice: Family Nurse Practitioner DNP (FNP) is a clinical doctorate.  This program prepares BSN or MSN nurses to move to the highest level of clinical expertise and advanced practice nursing.  Students will complete up to 1,200 hours of clinical practicums with preceptors in Decatur and surrounding areas. 

BSN to DNP

  • 69 credits and 1200+ hours of clinical practice
  • Full-time and part-time options available
  • Classes are delivered in a variety of methods including face-to-face, hybrid and online

MSN to DNP

  • 50-54 credits and 800+ hours of clinical practice
  • Full-time and part-time options available
  • Classes are delivered in a variety of methods including face-to-face, hybrid and online

Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNA)

In partnership with The Decatur Memorial Hospital, The Doctor of Nursing Practice: Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists DNP is a clinical doctorate and prepares BSN nurses to move to the highest level of clinical expertise and advanced nursing practice. 

  • 88 credit, 36 month, full-time course of study
  • Small cohorts and engagement with upperclassman and anesthesia experts provide a foundation of support in this rigorous program
  • Multiple regional clinical affiliates ensure excellent anesthesia practice experiences to meet or exceed national requirements

DNP completion for MSN Prepared Advanced Practice Nurses

The Doctor of Nursing Practice: Degree Completion is a clinical doctorate program specifically designed for currently licensed Advanced Practice Nurses who are Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists, Certified Nurse Midwives, Nurse Practitioners, or Clinical Nurse Specialists, that want to increase their knowledge and skills to the highest level of clinical nursing practice. 

  • Program delivered online
  • Part time or Full-time curriculum

Millikin’s Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) degree option within its Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program consists of 50-54 credit hours and includes 800+ clinical hours. For MSN to DNP (FNP) applicants, preference will be given to those with at least one year of full time registered professional nursing experience.

Master’s Entry into Nursing Practice 

Designed for individuals with non-nursing bachelor’s degrees, the Master’s Entry into Nursing Practice (MENP) is an accelerated, full-time program of study that will facilitate a smooth transition into the field of professional nursing. Graduates earn a master’s degree in nursing and will be eligible to take the National Council Licensure Exam and apply for licensure to become a Registered Nurse.
