Nursing rankings

Millikin's School of Nursing has outstanding graduate programs with a long history of excellence. Millikin offers a DNP in Nurse Anesthesia, a DNP in Family Practice, and two DNP completion programs. We also offer a Master’s Entry Nurse Program and a Master’s of Science in Nursing with a Nurse Educator track. Our programs prepare our graduate nursing students with a variety of hands-on quality experiences providing the best of Performance Learning,” Interim Director of Nursing Teresa Gulley said.

The annual U.S. News & World Report rankings are designed for prospective students looking to further their education beyond college and highlight the nation's top graduate programs.

Millikin’s School of Nursing also celebrated the completion of construction on the Health Sciences Center and Health Sciences West during the Spring 2024 semester.

The School of Nursing moved to the new facility over winter break, leaving their previous home in the Leighty-Tabor Science Center. Nursing classes will take place at both the Health Sciences Center and Health Sciences West, located just across Oakwood Avenue.

Four state-of-the-art simulation rooms are the centerpieces of the Campbell Family Nursing Simulation Center. The rooms are designed as near-real healthcare environments for adult, obstetric, and pediatric healthcare scenarios. Control rooms with two-way mirrors allow instructors to monitor each scenario and adjust how the high-fidelity “simulator” mannequins respond based on the student’s actions. The simulation center provides a safe environment for students to learn and develop skills needed for critical situations that they may not encounter in their clinical experiences due to the infrequency of the events.

Millikin will hold a ceremonial ribbon cutting on Wednesday, May 8, at 4:30 p.m., to celebrate the opening of the Health Sciences Center.

“We are excited to be in a new space that adds to the already exceptional educational opportunities for our students. Having a space and equipment that supports the application and skill development of all the concepts we teach in class is amazing,” Gulley said. "The new nursing areas are alive and buzzing with student energy and excitement, which has reenergized their dedication to becoming the best nurses for our community. The ribbon cutting will be a great time to showcase our facility and program.”
