    Class of 2024

  • As Millikin University's Spring Commencement ceremonies are quickly approaching on May 19, 2024, let us take a moment and reflect on the unique Millikin experience that the Class of 2024 had.

For many of the graduating students, this will be their first official graduation ceremony, as their high school ceremonies were frequently canceled or held remotely because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Their first Millikin semesters were also filled with unexpected challenges, such as remote learning, social distancing, and face masks, which limited their ability to experience the average social college experience.

Nonetheless, these Millikin students didn’t let those challenges slow down their desire to excel in the classroom and take advantage of everything Millikin offered.  This group of students we highlighted this year conducted groundbreaking Performance Learning research, excelled on the stage and the court, led student-run ventures, and have big plans to change the world after walking across the Kirkland Fine Arts Center stage with their diplomas in hand.
