Staley Library supports the educational pursuits of all members of the Millikin University community through its patron-focused collections and services. Our faculty and staff are guided by a vision to empower a creative community through learning and discovery.
During Celebrations of Scholarship, we highlight projects developed and supported by the Staley Library faculty in partnership with Millikin students and disciplinary faculty that highlight our values of care and service, growth, the pursuit of knowledge, collaboration, respect and belonging, and open and ethical communication. Please join us as the students we work with share the insights gained through these endeavors.

The Millikin Medal for Excellence in Young Adult Literature
Millikin Medal was founded in 2015 and seeks to give Young Adults a voice at the table in the literature awards world. This year’s committee will discuss the process of selecting finalists, and ultimately, a winner and honor books. The Millikin Medal for Excellence in Young Adult Literature is awarded each spring to a work of fiction, published in the previous year, of outstanding literary merit that inspires a love of reading in a young adult audience. The judging panel for the Millikin Medal consists of current Millikin students and faculty.
