Funeral service will be 10:00 AM, Friday, March 1, 2024 at First Congregational United Church of Christ, 3465 N MacArthur Rd, Decatur. Visitation will be 5:00 – 7:00 PM, Thursday, February 29, 2024 at the church. Burial will be in Boiling Springs Cemetery. Memorials in Paula’s honor may be made to: First Congregational United Church of Christ, Golden Kiwanis of Decatur, or Decatur Garden Club.
Paula was born November 2, 1946 in Decatur, the daughter of William J. and Genevieve (Smith) Koyak. She married Thomas Cordts on August 9, 1969 in Decatur. Paula taught 2nd grade at Warrensburg-Latham Schools for 42 years until her retirement. She enjoyed reading, playing golf, swimming, gardening, and bird watching. She was a member of Decatur Garden Club, Golden Kiwanis, Alpha Delta Kappa, PEO, Lady Landowners of Macon County; and belonged to several book clubs. She was active in First Congregational United Church of Christ.
