Paul Emmett Norbert DeMoss, 89, of Tellico Village died Tuesday, December 5, 2023, in Knoxville after a brief period in hospice.
Paul was born on February 15, 1934, to Emmett and Lucile DeMoss in Chicago, Ill. After growing up in Decatur, Ill., and excelling in football and other activities in high school, Paul worked at a gas station learning auto mechanics and pumping gas so he could pay his own way through college. He attended Millikin University, and during his junior year met the love of his life, Patricia Harting, on a blind date. They married on June 11, 1955, in Decatur, Ill.
