Students between the ages of 14-18 interested in exploring a nursing career are invited to attend a three-day camp experience on Millikin’s campus in Decatur.
During the boot camp, students will learn about basic nursing skills and the roles and responsibilities of the professional nurse. Students will also participate in patient simulations, take a first-aid course and get a glimpse of life as a Millikin University nursing student.
Campers will engage with nursing faculty, nursing students and alumni to learn about nursing school experiences and the profession. Representatives from Millikin will provide information and answer questions about admission and financial aid.
The deadline to register for the camp is Thursday, June 1. There is a registration fee of $125 per student. Register at millikin.edu/NursingCamp.
Campers arrive on campus Sunday, June 11, at 2:00 p.m., and the camp concludes at 5:00 pm on Tuesday, June 13.
Registration includes the cost of meals and snacks for three days, two nights of lodging in a Millikin residence hall and a camp t-shirt.
