DECATUR, Ill. – Millikin University students will have more international education opportunities as Millikin recently signed a dual-degree agreement with Artevelde University of Applied Sciences (AUAS), located in Ghent, Belgium
The articulation agreement between the schools will better serve students, build on international learning experiences, streamline transfer procedures, and to minimize duplication of instruction for both universities.
The agreement, which takes effect in the fall of 2024, will allow for Millikin students to study in Ghent their final year and receive a diploma from both institutions. Similarly, the agreement will allow AUAS students to come to Millikin during their last year (their third year) and receive a diploma from both institutions.
“This agreement further strengthens our longstanding partnership with Artevelde University of Applied Sciences and supports Millikin’s strategic goal of increasing study abroad opportunities,” Dean of Millikin's Tabor School of Business RJ Podeschi said. “The ability for our students to experience other cultures, whether students study abroad or international students study at Millikin, is central to our mission.”
This is Millikin’s third dual-degree agreement signed with international institutions, joining partnerships with Paris School of Business and IPAG Business School, both located in Paris, France.
“The AUAS partnership allows for an optional internship while abroad, which is incredibly unique and allows for students to gain real-world experience through Performance Learning while earning an additional diploma. We look forward to welcoming students from AUAS and supporting Millikin students’ interests in study abroad.”
