Since beginning Millikin University’s MBA program in January 2021 and graduating in May 2022, Lacie Elzy’s career changed significantly. Now the transit administrator for the City of Decatur, throughout her 17-month program, Elzy received two promotions. She said that getting her MBA was “a very good investment made.” Prior to earning her MBA, Elzy, a proud Decatur native, graduated from Millikin in 2014 with a degree in human services. Though she balances a busy and hectic lifestyle as a working mom of three boys, Elzy said the in-person classes in Millikin’s MBA program were an encouraging factor for her. “Being able to come to campus and devote those hours to myself really allowed me to get the most out of my education,” she commented. Elzy remarked that the things she learned in the program related directly to her career with the City of Decatur.
