Millikin has woven threads throughout my life wherever I might be.
Wattley, an early pioneer in the television industry, spent more than 30 years in the field, leaving her Decatur hometown after graduation to work at CBS-New York from 1951 to 1957. Wattley then returned to Decatur to work with WTVP, an ABC affiliate, as a copywriter. After working in Washington, D.C., for a Metromedia station, her career took her to WNEW-TV-New York in 1976 before she was named Director of Administrative Services for the program syndication division of Metromedia Producers Corporation. She then served in the Metro TV Sales Division of Metromedia until 1983.
