Jacob “Jake” Ashcraft, 44, of Pana passed away Thursday, February 15, 2024 in Pana Community Hospital. He was born August 24, 1979 in Decatur, IL to Randall & Nancy (Moeller) Ashcraft.
Jake graduated from Pana High School in 1998, where he still holds the record for 110 High Hurdles in his junior year. He was an Instrument Technician at Primient, Decatur, IL. Jake was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Pana. He was an avid Duke basketball fan and enjoyed woodworking, coaching youth basketball, playing basketball with his kids, gardening, cooking and fishing.
Jake is survived by his children: Madison Ashcraft, Chloe Ashcraft, and Payson Ashcraft, all of Pana and Chayson Mays-Ashcraft of Kentucky; parents: Randy & Nancy Ashcraft, Pana, IL; siblings: Nicole Clark (Fred Bogdan) and Tara (Zach) Hicks, both of Pana; Katie Ashcraft, Durham, NC; grandmother, Marcella Ashcraft and nieces & nephews: Jordan Clark, Brandon Hicks, Jack Clark, Skylar Hicks. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Ralph & Mary Ashcraft and Earl & Marilyn Moeller.
