Evelyn Jo-Ann (Kashefska) Logan, a.k.a. "Granny Jo", age 93, of Drummond Island, MI, walked into the arms of Jesus at Evergreen Living Center in St. Ignace, MI, on June 30, 2023. She was born in Decatur, IL on February 27th, 1930, to Paul and Evelyn Kashefska.
Growing up, Jo-Ann enjoyed outdoor activities. She loved gathering with friends and family. In college she met and married C.H. Logan, III of Decatur. They had two children, Paul Bradley Logan (Mebane, NC) and Melody Lynn Helfand (Drummond Island). The family moved to Milwaukee, WI, then to Fargo, ND, where they settled.
Jo-Ann was involved in the First Presbyterian Church, Women's Aglow, National Day of Prayer, and multiple Bible studies and prayer groups.
After being a stay-at-home mom, she started the business Cassette Communications, then launched into a career as a tour director leading senior citizen bus tours throughout the country. In 2008, she moved to Drummond Island, to be closer to family and continued to utilize her tour guide expertise at The Gourmet Galley to assist her daughter and son-in-law.
