Dorothy Ann Burgener died January 23, 2024, in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
She was the daughter of Russell and Velma (Doolen) Appleman. Mrs. Burgener attended Decatur Schools District, Eastern Illinois University, Illinois State University, and the University of Illinois. She was a member of Delta Zeta Sorority and Kappa Delta Pi Honorary Society. She married Harry John Burgener, Jr. She retired after thirty-two years of teaching and enjoyed travel and genealogy.
