He attended Morrill Elementary and Lindblom Technical High School where he was in the "100 honors" program and major in ROTC. Dr. Dykstra went on to Millikin University where he participated in the chorus, operas and musicals, graduating in 1969. He went on to the Seminary in Princeton, NJ, graduating in May 1972 and becoming ordained on July 2, 1972. Dr. Dykstra completed his Doctor of Ministry Degree at Pittsburgh Seminary.
Rev. Dr. Dale Dykstra preached in Pennsylvania at three-church parish based in Osceola Mills, Curwensville Presbyterian Church, Highland Park Church in Lewistown, PA, Mendota, IL, First Presbyterian Church, Kewanee First Presbyterian, and Elmira United Presbyterian. Retired June 30th, 2018 but continued to serve as interim pastor for Milan First Presbyterian, Clinton, Iowa First United Presbyterian and most recently at a newly formed Grace Presbyterian in Rock Island, IL. Dale preached in the Presbyterian ministry for 50 years and was very honored to receive Pastor Emeritus in the Kewanee Church while they celebrated their 150th anniversary.
