My name is Lori Kruse. I am currently a special education teacher in the Monticello School District Unit 25. I have taught special education for 28 years and when people ask me why I am still teaching special education my simple reply is, " I still love what I do!" I started as an adjunct at Millikin in 2007 teaching in the PACE program and then evolved into teaching traditional students. My undergraduate degree is from Harding University where I majored in Special Education. My graduate degree is in Curriculum/Instruction and School Leadership, which I earned from Olivet Nazarene University. Each day I look forward to working with children who have special needs then being able to help Millikin students understand the nuances of these children. I love quotes, but one of my favorites is "So Often You Find That The Students You’re Trying To Inspire Are The Ones That End Up Inspiring You." I have found inspiration in working with children from 5-55 years old!
