Assistant Professor

Art therapy educator and practitioner specializing for over 25 years in conducting art therapy groups and individual sessions for child and adolescent clients in psychiatric and hospice grief center settings.  My current focus is teaching undergraduate art therapy coursework at Millikin University.  Previously, I developed the Drawn Together art therapy program in a hospice setting. My research article, Recontextualizing the Draw A Story Assessment: Expanding the Expressive Function in Art Therapy, was published in Art Therapy: Journal of the American Art Therapy Association, 35(3)3 2018.  This article is based on my research study while earning a Doctor of Art Therapy degree at Mt Mary University.
