At Millikin University, students don't need to make separate purchases for textbooks—it’s all included!
Created in partnership with Akademos, Inc., and powered by TextbookX, Millikin's Big Blue Access course materials program is an innovative, personalized, and affordable solution for students. At the start of each qualifying term, all students will receive all the physical and digital course materials they need in order to succeed.
Steps to Receive Materials
1. Visit your personal Bookstore account by logging in to myMillikin and clicking the Bookstore icon to see your full course schedule and materials. Some materials will be delivered in physical format, and some will be delivered electronically.
2. Digital textbooks and materials will be available through your course access in Moodle, and access details will also be sent to your Millikin email three days before classes begin. Note: Text from millikin.textbookx.com may state that materials will be delivered through the "LMS", which is referring to Moodle.
3. Starting at 9 a.m. on January 21, you can pick up any physical texts in the Big Blue Access book area located in the lower level of Blackburn Hall. You must have a photo ID with you.
5. Last date to opt out for the Spring term is January 26. If you wish to opt out, please follow the instructions below. If you choose to opt out of the program, you will be responsible for purchasing all course materials on your own. If you opt out, you must return your books to the Big Blue Access area in lower Blackburn Hall to receive a refund of the Big Blue Access fee.
REMINDER: Each student must opt out through the book portal by the due date above. Opt outs will not be taken via email.
Contact millikin.textbookx.com/help or email books@millikin.edu if you have any questions.
You do not need to take any action to ensure that your materials are delivered. The bookstore will know what materials you need based on your course schedule. Physical items to campus while digital course material access information will be emailed and listed in your bookstore eLibrary account and connected to your course in Moodle.
