Following her graduation in December 2020 from Millikin University, Alyssa White chose to immediately pursue her MBA, a program vastly different from her recent biology degree. Though she did not have a background in business, White said that the support from her professors, along with the program’s signature two-week bootcamp made her well-prepared for classes. “I came into the program without any knowledge or background relating to business. My professors took their time to really teach their students and help everyone understand.” Since graduating from Millikin’s MBA program in May 2022, White has been busy traveling around central Illinois as a medical sales representative, a role that combines her science and business backgrounds. Getting her MBA helped her excel in the medical sales field “I had a lot of “aha” moments when I started working full-time. The marketing aspects from the program helped me sell my products and myself as a representative,” she said. Looking toward her future, White said that her outlook on her career has been changed by the MBA program.
