This exhibition brings together works by Black artists across generations to explore identity, memory, intimacy, and representation. Through painting, photography, mixed medium, and spatial intervention, the artists illuminate the textures of everyday life while confronting histories of visibility and erasure. Rather than presenting a single narrative, the exhibition creates a dynamic conversation across time and experience — one shaped by resilience, imagination, and presence. Opening in February in dialogue with Millikin University’s Black History Month programming, the exhibition invites audiences to reflect on how Black life is seen, remembered, and continuously reimagined
