Masterworks III: Heroes and Heroines

Be inspired by heroes and heroines from history, as well as from our very own community. Experience takes on everyday American heroism by Joan Tower (Fanfare for the Uncommon Woman) and William Grant Still (Autochthonous Symphony), legendary tales by Bedřich Smetana, modern heroes in the student winners of the School of Music’s annual Concerto/Aria Competition, and epic sounds in Ottorino Respighi’s monumental Pines of Rome.
