Mastering Foreign Language Skills

We offer classes in Spanish and Italian, with the option of majoring or minoring in Spanish. Our main goal is to help students to master the four basic skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing. We also aid students in developing an appreciation for the culture, literature and fine arts of foreign countries. We strive to make it possible for every student to receive the best quality education by maintaining small class sizes and individual attention for each student.

Join us at Millikin University and enjoy the many ways we help students develop foreign language skills. Today's business environment and international culture demand mastery of a foreign language. Consider taking courses in language, while you major business, theatre, literature, or anything else that Millikin has to offer. What about taking a class in Argentina, Chile or the Dominican Republic? Come with us, and you will have one of the best experiences you could ever imagine!

    • I am double majoring in Musical Theatre and Spanish and the connection between my majors is exciting. I've researched how Broadway adapts Latin American theatre and explored the performance of Spanish radio dramas on a live radio show. The Modern Languages Department has given me more opportunities than I could've imagined, and I can't wait to continue my education in graduate school.
