Lead the Future of the Arts
Students pursuing Arts Administration may qualify for renewable College of Fine Arts Talent Scholarships based on academic achievement, leadership potential, involvement in the arts, and professional promise.
Arts Administration students combine creativity with leadership, entrepreneurship, marketing, event planning, fundraising, and organizational management. We are looking for future leaders who want to strengthen arts organizations and creative communities.
How to Apply
1. Apply to Millikin University
Students must first be admitted to Millikin University as an Arts Administration major. Once admitted, students may complete the scholarship application through their myVIP page.
2. Submit a Professional Statement
Write a statement of 750 words or fewer responding to the following prompt:
What do you hope to gain from the Arts Administration program and how will you use it after graduation?
Applicants are encouraged to discuss their career goals, leadership experiences, community involvement, entrepreneurial interests, and connection to one of the program's concentrations.
3. Submit Supporting Materials
Provide a current résumé highlighting leadership, employment, volunteer experiences, artistic involvement, organizational activities, or other relevant accomplishments. Students may also submit optional work samples related to event planning, marketing, fundraising, production management, administration, or creative projects.
4. Complete an Interview
All scholarship applicants participate in an interview focused on leadership, collaboration, initiative, professional goals, and interest in the arts. The interview is also an opportunity to learn more about the program and ask questions.
