Millikin Health Clinic

Health Center Building

Walk-in and appointment care is offered to Millikin students and employees only. Dependents are not able to be served at this time. Services include:

  • Flus and colds
  • Physicals
  • Minor injuries
  • Rapid COVID, Influenza and Strep testing
  • Vaccinations clinics
  • Student health testing (Rapid STI, Rapid urinalysis, and rapid urine pregnancy testing*)
    *Rapid testing services may not be available for a short period of time. In the meantime, please visit a local urgent care center or hospital if rapid testing is needed immediately.

Location: 150 S. Fairview Ave., Decatur, Ill. 62526 (Same facility as the Student Mental & Behavioral Health Office)

Effective Jan. 24, 2025, Health Clinic hours for Millikin students and employees will be:

  • Tuesday — 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
  • Thursday — Limited availability. Appointments must be scheduled in advance by texting your name and chief concern to 217.620.2584.
  • Friday — 9 a.m.-4 p.m. 

The Student Mental and Behavioral Health (SMBH) office will maintain hours of operation similar to last semester. Visit the SMBH website for appointment details. Consistent with current practice, students are not charged a visit fee for SMBH mental health services.

When visiting the Health Clinic, please be prepared to show a copy of your student or Millikin employee ID. For appointments, please arrive early. Staff may proceed to the next appointment as appropriate. If you arrive 10 minutes after your appointment time, your appointment may be rescheduled. 

The service care fee is $25 per visit at time of service. Transactions are not accepted in the Health Clinic at this time. Millikin will bill student and employee accounts directly. To promote maximum access to health care at Millikin, which fosters a culture of student and staff success, during the transition period this spring semester, we will not bill private insurance providers.

Fee arrangements for the above may vary by facility, so please make inquiries prior to service. Students are not advised to use ambulance services except in life-threatening emergencies where no other transportation option is available. Ambulance services can be costly to students and families. Students should also contact their health insurance provider regarding coverage for ambulance services and emergency care in general. 911 should be contacted immediately for life-threatening and medical emergencies including suicidal ideations. Dial 988 for the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline.
