Readmission Policies

Any student who previously attended Millikin for any length of time and for any purpose and who left the university for any reason is required to apply for readmission in order to enroll once again in Millikin classes.

For Students in Good Standing:

  • Apply for readmission and be sure to indicate you have previously attended Millikin.
  • Submit to the Office of the Registrar all official transcripts showing any completed additional college work after leaving Millikin.
  • You will be notified by the Office of the Registrar if you are approved for readmission or denied readmission.
  • If approved for readmission, you will need to contact your Academic Advisor to discuss your plan of study and to be allowed to register for classes.

For Suspended Students:

  • Apply for readmission and be sure to indicate you have previously attended Millikin.
  • Submit to the Office of the Registrar all official transcripts showing any completed additional college work after leaving Millikin.
  • Submit to the Council on Students and Academic Standards (CSAS) a written petition for readmission explaining why you wish to return, what has changed since you were last at Millikin and what your plans are for your future Millikin education. Be sure to explain in detail how your ability to meet academic requirements at Millikin has improved. (Keep in mind, submitting a written petition to the Council does not guarantee readmission to Millikin.)
  • You will be notified by the Office of the Registrar if you are approved for readmission or denied readmission.
  • If approved for readmission, you will need to contact your Academic Advisor to discuss your plan of study and to be allowed to register for classes.
