Application & Admission
Acceptance into the School of Music requires those intent upon majoring or minoring in music to perform an audition. If you are interested in playing or singing in an ensemble, but not majoring or minoring in music, you may also audition to be considered for a College of Fine Arts Scholarship. For more information please contact Kim Dial at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Before the audition process begins, you must first apply to and be accepted by Millikin University’s Office of Admission. Students may apply to Millikin using the Common App or through our website at www.millikin.edu/apply. There is no fee to complete the application!
Once admitted to the University, you will receive a School of Music acceptance packet that includes an access code to the Get Acceptd online audition portal. You will use this portal to submit your unedited, single-take, pre-recorded video recordings. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all auditions are currently being evaluated in a virtual environment: asynchronous for repertoire submissions and synchronous via Zoom for skills assessment (scheduling required).
