Why am I proud to represent MU?

Central Illinois is home to me and the values that I grew up with are present at Millikin.

Why did I decide to work in this field and/or at Millikin?

I enjoy working on a college campus and the people I interact with. We have a good team and work well together.

Words I use to describe Millikin students:

Open-minded individuals who succeed in small class and group settings.

Advice for students/applicants:

Don’t procrastinate when it comes to completing the application, sending in transcripts, filing the FAFSA, etc. The sooner you complete those steps, the sooner your parents and teachers can stop nagging you about it!

What do I enjoy doing outside of work?

I love athletics and competing. I worked in NCAA Div. I athletics before coming to Millikin. I also currently serve as assistant boys' basketball coach at The High School of Saint Thomas Moore in Champaign, Illinois.

What is my favorite:

Food/Drink: Steak, baked potato, corn and a salad.

TV Show/Movie: The Office, The Sopranos and The Godfather

Part I & II

Music: The Eagles, Led Zeppelin, Blink 182 and Van Halen

Place on Campus: The walk between Gorin and Shilling Hall.

Place in Recruiting Territory: I always enjoy going to Indiana to recruit. I lived there for eight years and completed my undergraduate degree, and several family traditions take place in the Hoosier State. We go to the Indianapolis 500 every year and I always enjoy grabbing lunch in Speedway when I can.

Time/Tradition of the Millikin School Year: Attending Vespers.

Fun facts about me:

» I’m an Eagle Scout. I love the outdoors and enjoy going to the mountains for vacation.

» For more than 50 years, my family’s tradition has been to attend the Indy 500 on Memorial Day Weekend.
