Acting for Non-Majors; Belting: Technical Study and Performance Practice; Independent Performance Lab; Voice Lessons.

 

Ann has been teaching at Millikin since 2000 and maintains an active performance career. Recent professional performance credits at The Little Theatre on the Square include Damn Yankees (Meg); Sister Act (Mother Superior); Mary Poppins (Bird Woman/Miss Andrew); The Addams Family (Alice); The Sound of Music (Mother Superior); Fiddler on the Roof (Golde); Disney's Beauty and the Beast (Mrs. Potts). She has been a featured soloist for Millikin's Concert Band and Wind Ensemble, the Millikin Decatur Symphony Orchestra, and enjoys singing with Decatur's Municipal Band.

Ann has been recognized with an American Opera Award; a Liederkranz Foundation Award, which resulted in a concert performance at Lincoln Center's formerly named Alice Tully Hall; she was a finalist in the Metropolitan Opera District Auditions.

Ann's Teaching Philosophy honors the unique journey of each student. Her purpose is to guide, consult, demonstrate, lead by example, encourage and hold accountable.
