Millikin University invites applications for a Graduate Writing Tutor beginning August 17, 2026. This position will work 5 to 12 hours per week (flat rate of 5 hours per week, with up to 7 additional hours based on workload). Position will be paid through Accounts Payable and not eligible for benefits. This position is responsible for:
- Synchronous online tutoring of graduate students, for up to 9 hours per week.
- Asynchronous editing of graduate writing submissions, for up to 3 hours per week.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s degree or higher.
- Strong background in graduate level scholarly writing.
- Teaching and tutoring experience.
- Experience in advising multimodal writing.
- Knowledge of different citation styles, especially APA.
- Ability to support graduate students in an online tutoring environment.
- Ability to lead writing workshops.
- Flexible meeting times.
