Millikin University invites applications for a full-time, tenure track position at the rank of Assistant Professor of Management Information Systems, effective August 2025. Qualifications are Ph.D./DSc in Management Information Systems or related discipline with a strong academic and applied background in application development and mathematics. ABDs will be considered. Individuals with additional technical certifications are a plus. Candidates must be fiercely dedicated to teaching, maintain active scholarship and engagement in their field, and contribute service to the university. 

Millikin University seeks an individual who is passionate about teaching undergraduate students the theoretical and practical knowledge and skills related to management information systems and computer science in a hands-on learning environment. Areas of teaching include Introduction to Business Analytics, Foundations of Information Systems, Programming Fundamentals (Java), Introduction to Computer Science (Python), and Introduction to Data Science (Python).

Candidates are expected to embrace a teaching philosophy grounded in experiential learning consistent with an institution that extensively engages both its faculty and students in cooperative ventures with local businesses and organizations. Student advising and mentoring is an important part of teaching. Standard teaching load for full-time tenure-track faculty is four courses per semester. Candidates will work closely with corporate partners to advance opportunities for our students.
