MILLIKIN UNIVERSITY invites applications for a part-time, one-year (renewable) appointment as Adjunct Instructor of Music–Voice. Master’s degree required. Primary responsibilities include teaching applied lessons and weekly studio classes. Additional responsibilities commensurate with qualifications and abilities. Successful candidate must be comfortable teaching various vocal styles (e.g. classical, musical theatre, jazz/commercial, etc.), and able to play piano proficiently enough to accompany lessons. May include teaching in the Millikin Community Arts Academy, which serves over 300 individuals in the greater Decatur area; may also include other areas depending on qualifications. Position begins August 2024.

 

Millikin University School of Music has been NASM accredited since 1934. It comprises a vibrant community of faculty and undergraduate students, offering Bachelor of Music degrees in Performance, Music Education, Commercial Music, and Music Business, as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music.
