Transform Communities and Yourself in Sri Lanka! 

Dates: March 14-22, 2026 

Why This Course Matters: 

Dive into the world of social entrepreneurship in Sri Lanka, where you'll work on sustainable community projects and empower women entrepreneurs in the tourism industry. 

Overview: 

Participants will work side-by-side with the respected Sarvodaya, Sri Lanka's 67-year-old grassroots community development organization, and with local entrepreneurs in the tourism industry to address real social challenges and explore sustainable business solutions that create positive impact for their respective businesses. These solutions will inform innovations back in the U.S. for emerging and nascent entrepreneurs 

Who Can Join: 

Open to all students, alumni and community members passionate about making a social impact and learning about social entrepreneurship through immersive experiences.

Registration Deadline:  

  • December 15 for community members and alumni. ($1,000 deposit due at that time). The deposit is refundable if the program does not make full capacity.
  • Millikin students must follow the normal registration process and international scholarship/fellowship calendar published by the Center for International Education.

Cost and Funding: 

Estimated cost: $2,995  Includes a $800 airfare allowance, lodging, meals, and program activities.
