Learning the Art of International Relations
Model United Nations involves our students participating in and preparing for simulated proceeding of different UN bodies. It is one of the finest tools that Millikin University has for teaching international relations, diplomacy, debate and all the functional skills necessary for public interaction in an international setting. The program is a student-run club and is financed mostly by the student government. Dr. Laura Dean is the faculty advisor. In recent years, students have participated regularly in the prestigious American Model United Nations in Chicago and the Midwestern Model UN in St. Louis.
