(ΣΑΕ, also SAE) is a college fraternity founded at the University of Alabama on March 9, 1856. SAE has initiated over 296,000 members, and currently has over 220 chapters throughout the United States. SAE's headquarters, the Levere Memorial Temple, was established on the campus of Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois.
The mission of Sigma Alpha Epsilon is to promote the highest standards of friendship, scholarship, and service for our members based upon the ideals set forth by our Founders and as specifically enunciated in our creed.
