Open to the public

Hosted by Millikin University string faculty Gaeun Kim (violin), Isidora Nojkovic (cello) and Mingzi Han (double bass) along with William McClain (Music Director, Millikin-Decatur Symphony Orchestra), String Celebration is a fantastic opportunity for string students to learn from master teachers. Participants will have the opportunity to rehearse and perform in string ensembles, work with faculty in clinics and hear student and faculty performances.

Participants can attend the Millikin-Decatur Symphony Orchestra concert "One Thousand and One Nights” at 7:30 PM in the Kirkland Fine Arts Center, featuring guest violinist Kinga Augustyn as soloist on Johann Sebastian Bach's Concerto for Oboe and Violin in C Minor and Camille Saint-Saëns' Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso.
