Junior Jump
Junior Jump is an initiative for rising juniors and first-semester juniors to help guide them through the career development process, and ensure persistence to degree completion. The program allows for a personalized approach that includes any or all of the following:
Career Coaching
- Career Assessment (CliftonStrengths for Students, interest inventories, values sort, and MBTI)
- Identify purpose and path, other self-discovery activities
- Adopt an "Own Your Career" mindset using the concepts of Self-Leadership
- Learn the Career Competencies employers seek and how to develop them
- Career Exploration
- Career Development Plan/Setting Goals
Career-Building Experiences
Internships or other Performance Learning opportunities
Mentoring with Millikin Alumni
Connect one-on-one with a Millikin alum for personal and career development
Employment and/or Graduate School Advising/Preparation
Resumes, Cover Letters, Personal Statements, Building a Personal Brand, Mock Interviews, and Job Search Strategies
Create a LinkedIn Profile and learn how to leverage it as a tool for career success
