Tech Support & Media Services

A variety of computer and media learning services are available to students via the Information Technology Help Desk located on the first floor of Shilling Hall, Room 106. Included among these services are advice related to acquiring a personal computer, connecting your personal computer to the Millikin wireless network, downloading Office 365 on your personal devices, obtaining assistance with your Millikin username and password, accessing resources in the general access computer labs, and using computer and media projection equipment. For current and up-to-date information on these services and others that become available during the academic year, be sure to visit the Information Technology web page https://millikin.edu/IT/tech-support.

Technology Support

Services provided to students include assisting with Wi-Fi and network connectivity, installing campus printers, correcting account issues, downloading and installing Microsoft Office 365 (FREE to all Millikin students), assisting with Millikin email and providing a myMillikin overview.

Media Services

Media Services is responsible for maintaining classroom technology, digital signage as well as managing the Mediasite video repository, assisting with Media needs for events around campus, and managing equipment check-out requests. Students may check out a variety of media equipment for use to complete classroom work or for group or organization events. Equipment available for checkout includes camcorders, projectors, portable sound systems, Rocker Boxes and various related accessories.  Equipment requests can be sent to media@millikin.edu. Organizations or organization representatives need to have the organization’s sponsor send an email to media@millikin.edu confirming the request for equipment. All equipment is checked out from the Help Desk.

Students with gaming devices, smart TV’s, smart speakers, wireless printers, or streaming devices need to submit a request to http://devicereg.millikin.edu (MU-IoT network).
