Applying to the Art Department
Admission into your chosen field of study within the Art Department is based in part on a portfolio review. This makes your application process a little bit different than what many other students will go through. Please read through the information in the section thoroughly so that you have a better understanding of what the process is and what you can expect to happen along the way.
College of Fine Arts (CFA) Scholarships are offered to students based on their talent and potential for contribution to the Art Department. Scholarships are determined after completion of the portfolio review.
Steps to Apply
1. Apply to Millikin University
Before the portfolio review process begins, you must first apply to and be accepted by Millikin University’s Office of Admission. Students may apply to Millikin using the Common App or through our website at www.millikin.edu/apply. There is no fee to complete the application.
2. Apply to the Art Department
Once admitted to the University, you will need to submit the Art Department application through your myVIP page and submit a portfolio of your artwork for review. Information on accessing your myVIP page will be included within your admission packet from the University.
