erda June Figge Stewart, age 97, passed away on Sunday, July 28, 2024. She was born on June 22, 1927.
Verda June was preceded in death by her parents, William Edward Figge and Verda Morton Figge; her sister, Marjorie Jean Figge Krome; her husband, Phillip N. Stewart; and her sons, David Alan Stewart, and Robert Bryan Stewart.
Verda June graduated as Valedictorian of Edwardsville High School in Edwardsville, IL. She received a bachelor's degree in music, Magna Cum Laude, from Millikin University. Verda June was a member of Saint Mark's United Methodist Church and loved singing in choirs all over the United States. She sang in the Atlanta Symphony Chorus for five years. Verda June is survived by her son, Richard L Stewart.
