Nancy was born February 24, 1926 in Decatur, Illinois, the daughter of Harry and Frances Chenoweth Cannon. She graduated in 1946 from Bradford Junior College in Haverhill, Massachusetts and in 1948 from Milliken University in Decatur. She was married to Robert L. Wilson October 23, 1948 at St. John's Episcopal Church in Decatur.
She spent most of her adult life living in Quincy where her husband Bob owned Wilson Hardware. In 2010 Nancy and Bob moved to Louisville, CO to be near their daughter Sarah Wilson Cooper.
Nancy's great passion in life was her family who called her Maia. She loved them dearly and nurtured them by cooking her favorite recipes. She remembered everyone's birthday with handmade cards. Nancy vacationed with her family on Captiva Island in Florida every year and celebrated family visits with homemade banners and balloons.
