The Stage Management program at Millikin University is excited to announce a Stage Management Workshop for aspiring stage managers and technical theatre students. The purpose of the workshop is to offer educational and practical experiences to develop an understand of the role a stage manager, learn more about career opportunities in the field of stage management, and develop some stage management skills.
Specific areas covered in the Sunday workshop will include hands-on activities related to preparing for rehearsals, blocking, theatre paperwork and managing a performance. There will also be the opportunity to observe the Stage Management team during a technical rehearsal of the School of Theatre & Dance’s fall musical The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical.
No previous experience is needed to participate and the workshop is open to all levels of experience.
