How to Apply
Applying to Millikin is a simple process that can be done online and requires no application fee.
1. Apply to Millikin University
Applications may be submitted online by visiting the Millikin University Application page. You may also apply using the Common App.
Please Note: All BFA programs require an audition or interview for consideration. Prior to scheduling an audition or interview, all students must first be accepted to Millikin University.
Our BA program requires no additional steps beyond the application for admission.
2. Submit Audition Materials - (Acting and Musical Theatre only)
Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, The School of Theatre and Dance has moved the audition process to a digital format and has suspended the pre-screen requirement. Upon admission to Millikin, applicants will be sent an access code allowing them to submit their audition materials to GetAcceptd.com. Detailed information on audition requirements may be found on our Audition Requirements page, or at the Millikin University GetAcceptd Landing Page. There is a $30 fee to submit audition materials to GetAcceptd.com.
Schedule an Interview - (Stage Management and Design & Production)
Upon admission to Millikin, applicants will be invited to schedule an interview by contacting our Audition/Interview Coordinator. Interviews may be scheduled most days that classes are in session and/or the appropriate faculty members are present. Detailed information on interview requirements may be found on our Interview Requirements page. Applicants will have the option to interview on campus or digitally (Millikin is strictly following the State of Illinois Covid-19 protocols and requires face coverings for all students, faculty, staff, and visitors).
If you should have questions regarding the audition/interview requirements and/or process, please email our Audition/Interview Coordinator or call us 217.424.6282.
