Auditions and Interviews

Millikin will hold auditions and interviews for the following programs:

  • Acting
  • Musical Theatre
  • Stage Management
  • Design and Production

Students wishing to attend our Chicago auditions must first apply to and be accepted by the Millikin University Office of Admissions. Audition appointments are granted by invitation.  Invitations are extended through an on-line pre-screen process at GetAcceptd.com.  Once admitted, those seeking auditions for our BFA Musical Theatre and/or Acting programs will receive a code that will permit them to submit their GetAcceptd pre-screen materials. Pre-screen submissions will be evaluated in the order in which they are received and audition invitations will be extended on a rolling basis. Specific guidelines detailing pre-screen requirements may be found on the Millikin University GetAcceptd page.  Please note the deadline for pre-screen audition materials on our Audition Information page.

Performance auditions will take place during the three sessions listed above.  Musical Theatre auditions will take the entire session time.  Applicants will perform songs and monologues first, and then move to the dance audition at the end of the session. Those auditioning for our Acting program may leave once they have performed their monologue(s).

Stage Management and Design and Production interviews will be conducted on Sunday, February 2nd and may be scheduled at any time between 8am and 4:30pm.  Those students seeking interviews for these degree programs do not need to submit pre-screen materials.

TO SCHEDULE AN AUDITION (BFA Acting or Musical Theatre) - once an audition invitation has been extended, you will be directed to an automated system where you may choose any available session.

TO SCHEDULE AN INTERVIEW (BFA Stage Management or Design and Production) - once admitted, you will be directed to contact our Audition Coordinator to arrange an interview time.

Questions may be directed to our Audition/Interview Coordinator.
