SCORE and Millikin University's Center for Entrepreneurship have launched a new program that will bring micro business owners together, the Micro Business Network (MBN). The mission of the MBN is to provide the community of micro business owners an environment where they can share knowledge and resources to help each other succeed.

"As a micro business owner, I believe that supporting the unique needs of owners is an essential, worthwhile endeavor," said Kat Smalley, chair of the Micro Business Network. "As CEO, CFO, bookkeeper, customer service department and lead sales generator and visionary, we are faced with the challenge of balancing our work and home lives. The Micro Business Network has been created to help micro businesses share knowledge and connect with relevant, useful resources to help us rise to our challenges and succeed."

The Micro Business Network allows members free admission to the 2013-2014 MBN speaker series events and roundtables plus full access to the MBN membership directory and resources. Members will also receive discounted rates on special events throughout the year.
