Vicki Caldwell DNP, MSN, APRN, PCNS-BC 

Vicki joined Millikin faculty in August, 2013. She currently teaches at Millikin University in the College of Professional Studies, School of Nursing, Assistant Professor. She teaches in the BSN Program and the Masters Entry Nursing Practice. She teaches Parent-Child Nursing, and Nursing Care of Infants, Children & Adolescents.  She assists with the Health Assessment Lab for the BSN Program. She holds a certification of Pediatric Clinical Nurse Specialist-Board Certified (PCNS-BC) with an Advanced Practice Nurse license from the state of Illinois. She is a CPR instructor since 1985. Vicki is a member of the American Nurses Association(ANA)-INA Illinois, National Association of Clinical Nurse Specialists (NACNS), Nu-Pi-at-Large Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. She serves as the Junior Counsellor at Millikin University for NU-Pi-at-Large chapter of Sigma Theta Tau.

Education: ADN from Lincoln Land Community College, Springfield, IL- 1985     BSN from University of Illinois @ Springfield, IL- 1999     MSN from Saint Louis University- St. Louis, MO. 2008    Graduated December 9, 2018 from                   Millikin University in the Doctorate of Nursing Practice.

 Previous clinical positions:  Staff nurse, Nursing Educator, Discharge Planner in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in St. John's Children's Hospital, Springfield, IL  1986-2009. Systems Analyst in the Information Technology Department @ St. John's Hospital, Springfield IL 2009-2012. Staff Nurse on the Pediatric Unit @ St. John's Children's Hospital, Springfield, IL. 2012-2013.

Enjoys spending her free time with her grandchildren and camping with her husband.
