Matt Albrecht is a lighting designer from Madison, WI and proud member of IATSE local 482. Matt has had the opportunity to work in theatres and amusment parks across the United States. Some of his design highlights include The Phantom of the Opera (Lone Star College) The Greeks (Madison Repertory Theatre), The Water Engine (University Theatre), Into the Woods (Houston's Center Stage Theatre), The Temperamentals (Celebration Theatre), Annie (Madison Theatre Guild), Parade (Middleton Players Theatre) Beauty and the Beast (Middleton Players Theatre). Matt has also had the opportunity to work with Peninsula Players in Door County, WI as a technical intern. Matt spent 3 summers as the resident lighting designer for La Musica Lirica lighting opera in Novafeltria, Italy. Currenty Matt spends his summers designing lighting for Live Entertainment at Cedar Point in Sadusky Ohio and Worlds of Fun in Kansas City Missouri. Matt also designs the Halloween Haunt shows for Worlds of Fun in Kansas City. Matt enjoys spending time and studying Disney Parks. Matt has developed the course Designing Disney where students travel to Walt Disney World to study the parks and how the parks and shows are designed.  In his spare time Matt can be found traveling and enjoying the outdoors.
