I didn’t choose this profession for the stories, or the money, and definitely not for the bodily fluids, but to selflessly give myself to my patients and the profession, and to touch the lives of those who need it most.
Hannah Shoen Donoho graduated from Millikin University in 2010 with a bachelor of science in nursing. In 2017, she earned her master’s degree in nursing, also from Millikin, with a focus in nursing education. The basis of her master’s project was studying simulation in nursing education.
Dr. Jennifer Wolfe Grenier graduated from Millikin with a bachelor’s degree in nursing in 2002. After earning an MSN from Lewis University in 2012, Grenier went on to complete a doctorate in systems leadership from Rush University, with a focus on decreasing workplace bullying and incivility. She has presented at several organizations across the state on her DNP work.
Grenier has worked with the Rush University Medical Center System for 18 years. She has experience in medical-surgical, surgical ICU, liver transplant, telemetry, and is currently the director of the acute inpatient rehab hospital and the medical surgical unit at Rush University Medical Center.

Diedra (Dede) Cowgur Stewart, MSN, RN, CNL graduated from Millikin University in 1992 with a bachelor’s degree in nursing and began her nursing career at HSHS St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, Ill., in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). She served as a staff nurse, charge nurse and transport nurse before accepting her current position as assistant nurse manager of the NICU.
